The Beijing Olympics torch relay was originally scheduled to start at Zenkoji
one of the most prestigious, popular Buddhist temples in Japan.
As you probably know, Zenkoji Temple withdrew from a plan to host the Beijing Olympics torch relay over China’s military actions in Tibet. This is a great decision made by Zenkoji, I firmly believe.
